Engineers Week

Engineers Week aims to inspire future generations of engineers and provide opportunities for K-12 students to learn about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) through professional panels, discussions, and hands-on engineering activities. Our goal is to expose students from disadvantaged and underrepresented backgrounds to the field of engineering and engage them in a fun and meaningful experience.

About Engineers Week

Founded by the National Society of Professional Engineers in 1951, Engineers Week is dedicated to ensuring a diverse and well-educated future engineering workforce by increasing understanding of and interest in engineering and technology careers. ASCE SJ YMF will host 4 events in 2025 and expects approximately 400 participants spanning across elementary, middle, and high school grade levels. Events will feature hands-on activities, presentations by industry professionals, and lunch. Events are provided to students and faculty at no cost and so support from local engineering firms and agencies are crucial to our success. Additionally, the program is planned and executed by a group of volunteers. Be sure to read on to learn how you can get involved!

Sponsorship Opportunities

Engineers Week 2025 needs your support!

Engineers Week is focused on inspiring future generations of engineers and providing opportunities for K-12 students to learn about science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) in an engaging and fun environment through professional panels, discussions and hands-on engineering activities. We rely on volunteers from STEM-related fields to serve as guides and mentors for the students, further introducing them to career opportunities they may not yet know exist. Our goal is expose students from disadvantaged and underrepresented backgrounds to the field of engineering and engage them in a fun and meaningful experience.

Engineers Week 2025 will be held in person at various locations and will consist of:

  • Elementary School Day on Tuesday, February 11, 2025
  • Middle School Day on Wednesday, February 12, 2025
  • Girl Day on Thursday, February 13, 2025
  • High School Day on Friday, February 14, 2025

This fun-filled, week-long event would not be possible without our sponsors and so we seek support from both public agencies, private firms, and non-profit organizations to join us in promoting the importance engineering to students in the San Jose area. Your financial support will offset the cost of venue fees, bus transportation, lunch, t-shirts, and supplies while giving you targeted, community recognition and exposure. Sponsorship opportunities include recognition on our social media platforms and print media, in addition to a variety of other benefits.

Sponsorship opportunities are detailed in the proposal below. If you are interested in sponsoring Engineers Week 2025, please contact us at asce.ymf.sj@gmail. We thank you in advance for your support and look forward to hearing from you!

Excitedly,
Karina + Andrea + Amer
